About Us

Founded in 1987, the Siyazisiza Trust (meaning we help one another) is a non-profit development organisation committed to sustainable enterprise development in rural areas of South Africa. The Trust’s current focus is on food and craft production, the latter through its craft division, the Khumbulani Collection.

About us

The Trust has 22 full-time employees and directly works with between 3,000 and 5,000
rural people at any one time

Tax Status

The Trust is a public benefit organization in terms of Section 30 of the Income Tax Act, and receipts and accruals are exempt from income tax in terms of Section 10 (cN) of the Act.


The Siyazisiza Trust has been approved for purposes of Section 18A (I)(a) of the Act and donations to the organization are tax deductible in the hands of donors in terms of and subject to the limitations prescribed in Section 18A of the Act.
